#146

A cheerful kaiju who starts every morning with Japanese radio exercises. 📻🦖

Stretch.

📖 Profile

Japanese Name
ストレッチラ (Sutoretchira)

Inspired By
Japan's famous Radio Taisō (ラジオ体操) morning exercises and the giant monsters of classic Japanese kaiju culture.

For generations, people across Japan have followed simple exercises broadcast over the radio, stretching, bending and moving together to familiar music.

Stretchzilla takes this routine extremely seriously.

Even giant monsters need to warm up.

⭐ Personality

Cheerful. Energetic. Disciplined. Surprisingly health-conscious.

Stretchzilla might look like a terrifying city-stomping monster...

but every morning begins exactly the same way.

Radio on.

Arms up.

Bend left.

Bend right.

One, two, three, four!

Nothing interrupts his routine.

Not rain.

Not earthquakes.

Not even an urgent appointment to terrorize Tokyo.

He'll get there.

After stretching.

❤️ What Matters to Him

Stretchzilla believes every good day starts by moving your body.

You don't have to run a marathon.

You don't need a complicated workout.

Sometimes you just need to stand up...

reach toward the sky...

and move around for a few minutes.

Then you can conquer the day.

Or destroy a miniature city.

Whichever is on your schedule.

🏡 Habitat

  • Neighborhood parks
  • School playgrounds
  • Apartment courtyards
  • Quiet Japanese mornings
  • Suspiciously close to Tokyo

Wherever an old radio starts playing Radio Taisō...

Stretchzilla isn't far away.

🍙 Favorite Food

Onigiri after exercise.

Stretching makes a kaiju hungry.

Stretchzilla considers a big rice ball the perfect post-workout snack.

Nutritionists have not reviewed his program.

✨ Special Skill

Kaiju Flexibility

Despite being enormous, Stretchzilla can perform the entire Radio Taisō routine with impressive precision.

Arms up.

Twist.

Bend.

Jump.

ROAR!

The roar isn't technically part of the routine.

He added that himself.

😅 Weakness

Skipping warm-ups.

Someone:

“Stretchzilla! The city needs destroying!”

Stretchzilla:

“WITHOUT STRETCHING?!”

Absolutely not.

Safety first.

Destruction second.

🇯🇵 Did You Know?

Radio Taisō (ラジオ体操) is a famous Japanese exercise routine broadcast with music and spoken instructions.

The tradition dates back to 1928, and the familiar routines became a part of everyday life in schools, workplaces, neighborhoods, and community gatherings across Japan.

The exercises are short and simple enough for many ages to participate together, which is part of why Radio Taisō has remained such a recognizable piece of Japanese culture.

Stretchzilla has only one modification:

The final stretch is followed by a roar. 📻🦖
