Why We Created JapPop

Hi! I'm Noriko, the creator of JapPop.

I was born and raised in Japan before moving to Canada.

Living abroad made me realize that many of the little things I grew up with—funny expressions, comforting foods, lucky charms, festivals, and everyday traditions—were fascinating to people who had never experienced them.

JapPop is my way of sharing those moments through illustrations, characters, and stories that make people smile while celebrating Japanese culture in a fun and approachable way.
