Tora fugu (虎河豚), Japan's famous tiger pufferfish, whose name combines tora (虎 / tiger) and fugu (河豚 / pufferfish).

Tiger Puff dreams of exploring every corner of the ocean.

And naturally, he needs to look the part.

So he wears his fierce tiger outfit.

Whenever danger appears, his natural pufferfish defense kicks in.

Some species of fugu contain tetrodotoxin, a powerful toxin, so preparing and serving fugu is carefully regulated in Japan and chefs who handle it commercially require specialized training.

Pufferfish are also famous for their unusual defense mechanism: when threatened, they can rapidly inflate their bodies, making themselves appear much larger and harder for predators to swallow.
